Simon Says Stamp: Stars Challenge
The Simon Says Stamp blog has a challenge to use stars. I got out my mists and ink again and created the background for this card. I then adhered some Heidi Swap sequin stars with a button hanging from one on baker's twine. I finished the cards with a sentiment from myStampBOX.

Happy Birthday Dad
Today is my dad's birthday and I am sharing the card that is on the way to him in the mail.
I've been watching the videos in Nathalie Kalbach's Creative Jumpstart Summit and have been inspired to play more with my mists, inks and stamps. All of the stamps on this card are from myStampBOX. I adhered (with repositionable adhesive) some punched hexagon shapes randomly on heavy white cardstock. I sprayed the cardstock with Mr. Huey Color Mist (Real Red) then removed the hexagons. Using the hexagon border from the Decorative Strips stamp set, I randomly stamped on the cardstock using Colorbox Yellow Ochre chalk ink. To bring a little contrast to the card, I stamped one of the images from the Ornamental Flowers stamp set on the card, stamping off the stamp a couple times to get different depths of black. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Color Me - Sentiments stamp set and colored it in with Prismacolor pencils.
Happy Birthday Daddy....hope you have a great day.

myStampBOX Round Sketch
Today the design team at myStampBOX is sharing creations using this sketch from Becky Fleck at Page Maps.
I colored in the leaves with Derwent Inktense Pencils. I was suckered into buying convinced I needed these pencils after watching Jenn McGuire's video about her favorite inks and coloring tools.

I created this layout using Crate Paper Acorn Avenue, and Road Trip (arrows), Just Add Notes and Floating Leaves stamp sets.

Sketch Inspiration
I created this card using this month's card sketch challenge at Scrapbook {Express}ions blog. We'd love to have you join in our challenges...you might win a $25 gift certificate from the store.
myStampBOX Road Trip layout
In September, we went on a road trip to Glacier and Yellowstone
National Parks. I created this layout with a photo showing the miles we
had traveled on the odometer on my car. I used the arrows from the Road Trip set and words and cars from the Passport to Adventure set around the edge of the blue mat of my photo. I also stamped "Road Trip" on the blue arrow from the Road Trip set. I thought the Bo Bunny Detour Collection worked perfectly with the subject of the layout.
