Cheers!

Today the design team at myStampBOX is featuring projects about food. In my house, wine is a food group...it is made from grapes afterall.

I decorated this plain kraft wine bag using the Ornamental Flowers set. I fussy cut some of the small blue flowers and mounted them with foam tape. The large snowflake tag and "cheers" were cut with my Cricut. I'm sure anyone on your gift list would appreciate this gift bag...filled with a bottle of wine, of course.
Cheers!!

My Mind's Eye Sketch Challenge

It's been a while since I participated in any challenges. Today I decided to work with this month's sketch on the My Mind's Eye blog.
MME December Sketch
I created this layout of a photo at Grinnell Glacier using lots of different My Mind's Eye products: Lost & Found 3: "Oliver"  Blue Quatrefoil Embossed, Multi Plaid, and Ledger Stripe Papers; Indie Chic Citron Grow: "What A Day" Hibiscus Paper; Indie Chic Citron "What A Day" Decorative Buttons; Lost & Found 2 "Boyish" Buttons; Miss Caroline Howdy Doody "Lovely" Pins & Buttons; Dilly Dally "Best" Stickers; Kraft Funday Everyday Fun Twine; and part of the packaging (the cream tab) from Lost & Found 2 Pearl Swirls. I added some letter stickers from American Crafts and Bo Bunny, and a piece of scallop die cut muslin.

Travel Bookmark

I'm getting ready to go on a trip to France and have been busy reading different travel books. I thought it would be nice to have a bookmark to mark my spot while I'm reading up here in the US and also to mark my spot when we are out and about in France.

I inked some white paper with Tim Holtz Stormy Sky and Festive Berries Distress Ink (in honor of the colors of the French flag), then stamped images and words from the Passport to Adventure and Road Trip sets in black pigment ink. I then put some clear embossing powder on the bookmark and heat set (I will admit I only intended for the embossing powder to stick to the images and words, but it also stuck to the distress ink and gave kind of a nice pebbly texture that I wasn't expecting...it's always fun when your mistakes turn out to be a good thing).

Bon Voyage friends!

Tag It

A nice way to spruce up a plain gift bag or package is with a homemade gift tag. They're quick and easy to make with your scrapping supplies and even your scraps. You can see all the details of this tag on the Scrapbook {Express}ions blog.

myStampBOX: Happy Holidays

Here's another card I created using the acrylic block stamping technique. This time I used Ranger Stormy Sky Distress Ink on white cardstock. I stamped some snowflakes from the Ornamental Flowers set with Ranger Weathered Wood Distress Ink and the sentiment is from the the Straight Forward set.

Love You

I've been playing around with the acrylic block technique for some cards. You ink up your acrylic block and then stamp the block onto your paper. With textured cardstock, like with this card, you see all the mottled marks of the texture.

I used Splash Me A Lot!Sigh, Gush, Gasp, and Snapshot (I cut out the center of the polaroid frame and adhered it to the sentiment with foam tape for dimension) sets from myStampBOX for this card.

Family and Home

The design team at myStampBOX is featuring stamped projects about family and home on the blog today.

For my card, I used the Lovely Houses and Wishing You Sunshine sets. I pulled out some gel markers that I have had forever and never used and colored in the images.
Head over to the to myStampBOX blog to see the creations by all the design team members.

Enjoy Your Latte!

Here are some more cards created with myStampBOX stamps. I had fun breaking out the Enjoy Your Latte! set and pairing the set with some products from our product partner Canvas Corp. Aren't these papers and the canvas and burlap tags perfect for the Enjoy Your Latte! set?

On this card, I stamped and embossed with copper embossing powder on this card for a different look. The embellished envelope is perfect for a gift card from your favorite coffee store.

For this card, I put a couple of colors of tan/brown paint on a piece of chipboard, then added three layers of Ultra Thick Embossing Powder. When the last layer of Ultra Thick Embossing Powder was still hot, I stamped the coffee cup image and let it sit a few minutes until the embossing powder had set up. This technique makes a nice focal point embellishment for your project. I adhered the chipboard to the canvas tag with some foam adhesive and layered two fussy cut pieces of the steam stamp behind the chipboard. All this card needed now was a simple sentiment.
This card is my favorite of the three. I stamped the coffee ring and cup on kraft cardstock, then randomly stamped just the coffee ring after stamping off a little of the ink.
The coffee beans are set with black embossing powder, fussy cut, then colored with a brown pencil; I then applied Glossy accents. To give a little dimension to the card, I overlapped the two pieces and adhered the top piece with foam dots.

These last two cards also qualify for the Moxie Fab World Canvas, Cork and Burlap Challenge.

I created this card for the Square Punch Challenge on the Moxie Fab World Blog. I punched the blue checked squares with my square punch then cut them in half to form arrows.

Take A Hike

I recently had some layouts posted on the Cord Scrapbook Studio blog featuring Simple Stories Take A Hike Collection. These papers were perfect for some photos from a recent trip to Glacier and Yellowstone National Park. The Simple Stories collections make scrapping so quick and easy with the page, strip, and photo elements.

Acorn Hollow

I am quite behind in updating my blog. Today on Cord Scrapbook Studio blog, I have some projects using Little Yellow Bicycle Acorn Hollow. Love this beautiful fall collection.
For the flower cluster, I used some foam adhesive to give the cluster a little depth.
I thought these photos of this cute chipmunk were perfect with the acorn paper. It was so nice of the chipmunk to pose for me on the side of a trail in Glacier National Park.

Bearly Scrapping

Yes, I am a comedian too :)  I scrapped two layouts with some pics of a momma grizzly bear we saw in Glacier National Park (unfortunately all the pics of her two cubs were either blurry or they were blocked by shrubs so I only got pics of the mom).

For this layout, I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers.

For this layout, I used the sketch from this month's sketch challenge on the Jillibean Soup blog.

Boo....Boo....Boo

I was excited to be asked by WeRMemory Keepers recently to create some projects using the new Black Widow Collection. A gift bag and card are featured on their Facebook page today. If you haven't done so already, they and I would love for you to check them out. In addition to the gift bag and card on their Facebook page, I also created this halloween card.
I die cut some tickets and stamped them with the Boo clear stamp from the Collection. I also fussy cut two ghosts from the pattern paper and adhered them and the tags with foam adhesive to give a little dimension to the card.
Thanks, WeRMemory Keepers, for featuring my work today. And thank you to all of you who have joined me here to see more of my work with the Black Widow Collection.

Grandma's Lima Bean Soup

I loved working with the Jillibean Grandma's Lima Bean Soup Collection for some design team projects for Cord Scrapbook Studio. The colors in the collection are so bright and fun and there are some great die cuts and stickers.

I guess I had banners on my brain the day I designed these layouts (plus I had a sheet of the Banner Bites that were too cute not to use).
